JCSER succeeded in obtaining a decision from the Israeli High Court to issue a family reunification permit for Zubaida Yassin Mohammed Gharabli, Nader Adel Mohammed Qumbuz’s spouse from East Jerusalem and to register Zubaida’s son, Iyad, on his parents’ ID card.

The approval of the family reunification application took over five years, during which the husband submitted all necessary papers and documents requested by the Israeli Interior Ministry. JCSER resorted to the Israeli High Court after the Interior Ministry blocked all possible ways to solve this case. This is one example of many ways in which Palestinian Jerusalemites suffer under the Israeli occupation.
